It's a pretty easy-to-use keylogger with a full set of functions you will need for parental control. It can well be recommended for monitoring a home PC. Total Logger is available in 6 languages (namely, English, Spanish, German, French, Russian and Polish) and supports Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP. The program is well-hidden: it is invisible to other users and canno be detected by anti-virus software. It records keystrokes, use of applications, usb-devices, instant messengers, as well as records web browsing, printed documents, uploaded files, file operations, makes screenshots. The program is user-friendly, so it can be recommended to all users - from beginners to gurus alike.
Installation & Interface
When installing Total Logger, we passed through the following windows: Installer Language (English, Spanish, German, French, Russian and Polish are available) → EULA → Destination Location (14.7 Mb free disk space) → Installation Type (Monitoring Agent and Report Viewer or just viewer) → Ready to Install → Finish.
Once launched, Total Logger asked us to create a password in order to protect it from the influence of other PC users. We set the password, confirmed it and clicked OK button.
This keylogger has a rather standard interface, typical to most programs of this kind. The main window is split into two sections: the left column and the main part. The customization options and logged information in this keylogger can be easily found, because they are grouped into appropriate categories.
So, let’s take a look at Total Logger according to the groups of criteria we used during our testing.
OS Support
Official website of IwantSoft, the developer of Total Logger, says that it now supports the following versions of OS Windows: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10. So, in the first section we could give it maximum 102 points out of 102 possible. Excellent!
Security
In this section, Total Logger also shows good result. It is well-hidden and password-protected. Also, you can create a preconfigured installer, which should be run just once on the target computer, so that the entire installation and configuration process will continue in automatic mode, so 100 out of 125 points.
Monitoring
Total Logger intercepts all keys pressed - alphabetic, numeric, system and character. It also, makes screenshots, microphone and webcam recordings, records file operations, but only in the folders the user has specified beforehand. As for the functions it doesn't have: there is no mouse clicks capturing, monitoring System inactivity time, and System logon\logoff. So, the product scores 203 of 340 points in "Monitoring".
Online Monitoring
Total Logger logs users' activity in all popular browsers. As for messengers such as Skype, ICQ, WhatsApp and other, the keylogger intercepts both sides of conversations in the form of screenshots. So, 113 of 142 points.

Reports
Total Logger is almost as perfect in this section as its interface! Only "Logs copied to a portable device" and "Maximum log-files' size" features absent in the keylogger. This program delivers monitoring reports to either an email address, FTP or Dropbox account, or a shared folder in a local network. However, it can't copy log files to portable devices. Good job again, IwantSoft! 130 of 150 points.
Other
In this section Total Logger did fairly well. Among strong points are the following: the program interface is available in many languages, websites and programs can be blocked by name, the Monitoring scheduler is configurable, and so is Alert, which could be set for specific keywords. The program scores 66 of 238 points.
The Bottom Line
The set of features Total Logger has make this product suitable for home pc monitoring and parental control. This keylogger is pretty easy to use and works fast. Also, it's difficult to detect, because its processes are disguised as the ones of the system. Optionally, its pre-configured installer can work in the stealth mode. Total Logger is likely to gain popularity thanks to support of the range of Windows versions and availability in 6 languages.
